Flexibility and multi-functionality have been always recognized as strong points of wetland systems. Nevertheless, these aspects encountered, until now, less attention by scientists and designers than conventional problems related to process knowledge, modeling, design and materials.
The Conference aims to give emphasis to the potential of the ancillary functions and of versatility of wetlands systems, in order to share experiences and provide information to scientists, technicians and decision makers for correct planning and assessment.
